The Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) is a public school for boys and girls situated in Doon Valley, DehradunΒ in India. The RIMC is a feeder institution for the National Defence Academy, Indian Naval academy and subsequently the Indian Armed Forces Rimcollian.
Only 25 Cadets are admitted every 6 months in Rashtriya Indian Military Academy. Candidates should not be less than 11 Β½ years and more than 13 years of age as on 01 Jan and 01 July of the term they join. Admissions are made to Class VIII only. The applicant must be a student of class VII or above in a recognized school at the time of joining. RIMC application forms are to be submitted to respective State governments.

The second stage in the entrance exam is the interview. Students who pass the written exam can only sit for the personal interview. A Board of Officers from RIMC conduct the interview. Students are tested for their intelligence, personality, and character. The students are free to question the board and know more about RIMC.
The final stage of the entrance exam is the medical test where the students are tested for their requisite health to join RIMC. A board of doctors takes the test. Students need to pass the medical standards and the physical healthiness to be selected into the merit list for admission to RIMC.
This merit list is the only affirmation that the student has made it through the admission procedure into RIMC. Students will have to do well in all three exams for successful admission. The selected students will be notified via email or the results will be shown on the website for the reference of the students.
